In 1975, our neighbor, Janet Mutschler, invited me to attend church with her several Sunday evenings. Eventually I began to attend the morning services, sitting with Janet and her family, noticing especially her Bible and all the notes she had written it in. I grew up thinking a Bible was something you should have, but not necessarily read and definitely not something to write in! I was shocked, but more than shocked, I was interested. I wanted to learn about Christ from a more reliable source than a preacher who rarely, if ever, even mentioned the name of Christ in his Sunday morning sermons.

In Pastor Frank's class for new members, or those thinking of becoming new members at Galilee, he encouraged us to read the book of John. I began reading, and could not get enough. Reading it over and over, I opened my heart to Christ receiving Him as my Savior.

Rob and Eddie both received Christ at the Old Fashioned Tent Meetings at the corner of Alden Nash and Cascade Rd. (Old 16 or Grand River) Josh (our youngest) prayed to receive Christ a few weeks later. This all happened in 1975 & 1976. Rob and I have attended Galilee since that time (except for when we were in Missionary Training and on the Mission Field) We grew and enjoyed the preaching of Pastor James Frank for many years, and currently we are enjoying Pastor Andy Mooren. Both are amazing men of God and we appreciate their years of service, love and care for all of us at Galilee.
