Middle school and high school youth learn in their own Sunday School classes. Teens and pre-teens get a chance to interact with one another and their teachers as the study their Bible lessons. The lessons, published by Regular Baptist Press, challenge and encourage them to think through the truths of the Bible, making their faith a matter of personal conviction and commitment.
The F.O.R.C.E. Youth Ministry (7th and 8th grades)
FORCE is an acronym for Following, Obeying, and Reflecting Christ's Example and that's what we encourage preteen and young teens to go in our middle school youth ministry. This program is full of fun-filled games and activities, but also gets serious about teaching the Bible, and continuing to lay foundations for a lifelong commitment to Jesus Christ. Many special activities throughout the year help provide the students times to stay busy in an environment that nurtures positive moral and spiritual development.
Momentum Youth Ministry (high school)
The high school program at Galilee is a Word of Life youth ministry. Word of Life operates under the philosophy that youth ministry needs to be contemporary and relevant while living by Bible absolutes like:
Scripture tells us to be ready always to give an answer for the reason of our hope. Young people need to know the Bible, not just about it. Word of Life provides a complete Bible curriculum including survey, topical study and an in-depth look at doctrine.
The Psalmist said, "I will lift up my eyes to the hills - From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth." Helping young people develop the godly habit of daily getting alone with God for quiet time and prayer is a priority. We provide a simple tool to guide youth through this special time with the Lord.
"These words which I command to you this day shall be in your heart." One of the greatest spiritual weapons available to youth today is Scripture memory. Arming young people through a systematic memory program is part of the basic Word of Life program.
Christ Himself did not come to be served, but to serve. When young people have a consistent intake of the Word of God, then there needs to be an outlet whereby they can evangelize and edify. We offer a complete approach to ministry and provide a manual of diversified ideas to motivate youth in ministry.
We all know that leaders are readers, but beyond this, we are admonished by Scripture to show ourselves approved unto God. We want to help young people accomplish this by providing a balanced diet of Christian reading. We suggest books that will challenge them to greater service and provide Biblical answers for their tough questions.
The Galilee Baptist High School Momentum club meets Sundays from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. If you would like more information about this youth ministry, please contact us at the church.
