Brent and Joyce Bowden joined Galilee in 2015 after relocating to the Saranac area.  They have have three grown children and eight grandchildren.  Their desire is to serve the Lord in whatever capacity He chooses.  In the winter of 2021 Brent was asked to step in as Interim Pastor of Galilee Baptist Church.  Brent and Joyce praise the Lord who is gracious and abundant in mercy and are thankful for this opportunity.

Praise Team Leader

Zach and Courtney Lane started attending Galilee in 2016. Newly after Zach graduated from Ionia’s missionary aviation school. They felt so welcomed and at home at here, they felt led to move closer and become more involved in Galilee’s ministries. Zach has been on the praise team of various churches since his teens, and started playing guitar for Galilee soon after they started attending. In 2020, Zach was asked to be the full time praise team leader. Zach and Courtney have been blessed with 3 kids with one on the way; Jackson, Joanna, Riley, and Baby Lane.

committed church leaders and staff. Those staff members include:

Pastor Frank retired in 2004 after serving for over 40 years as senior pastor of Galilee Baptist Church. He was saved in 1946 and called to the ministry in 1958. He received his education from Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina, and Grand Rapids Baptist Seminary. Though retired, Pastor Frank keeps busy in teaching, preaching, and occasional interim ministries to churches in the area.

Youth Group Leaders

Matthew and Maggie Austin have had the joy to be youth group leaders for the past ten years at Galilee! They have a passion for seeing teens come to know Christ as their personal Savior and enjoy the connections they are able to create with the youth. They were both raised in Saranac and live in the country near town. Matthew and Maggie have been blessed with three children: Chloe, Silas, and Micah. Matthew is a counselor and Maggie works part time for Our Daily Bread Ministries.
